HERE’S THE PROBLEM.
Violence is a pretty self-explanatory problem. It is never the answer, because it just doesn’t solve anything. Violence is usually powered by pure hatred, which is never stopped unless someone steps in with a heart full of love. It may sound corny or stupid, but it’s absolutely true. No one has a reason to stop hating someone unless the other person doesn’t hate them back. Hate, violence, and everything related to those two subjects just add fuel to the fire. Hating someone gives them all the more reason to hate you even more. Loving them may not change how they feel about you, but it usually makes them open their eyes and realize how immature they’re being.
HERE’S WHAT WE GOTTA DO.
This one’s a no-brainer. To prevent violence, what should we do? Hmm…how about not being violent? It’s not even something to go into full detail about. Violence is wrong, and doesn’t help us at all. The biggest problem with humans is that we are constantly looking for reasons to hate or compete with each other. We can’t just accept each other as we are and learn to get along. We all thirst for drama or ways to stand out from everyone else. Just try this out; next time someone’s really aggravating you, think about if it’s really worth getting mad about. Is it really worth being mad for twenty minutes, and losing those precious moments that you could have spent being happy? Don’t let it get to you, and DON’T try to solve your problems with violence.
